The official launch of the UIC Global Network of Railway Talents took place on 17th July 2015 at Great North Museum in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK.
The objectives of the event were to:
- Promote the UIC Global Network of Railway Talents in order to attract new members and boost growth
- Create a convivial event allowing the network members to meet and exchange about the rail sector and personal development opportunities
- Facilitate a conversation among passionate railway talents on timely global challenges of the sector
- Provide networking opportunities to network members and beyond

Mr Roy Rowlands from Rail Technology Magazine talks about their involvement in Gen Y Rail events and other activities promoting careers in the railway sector
